The owners of this luxurious Penthouse nested atop of Balmoral Park wanted a Modern Contemporary with a twist. They loved the European cabin lodge and how the fireplace never fails to bring comfort and warmth to the soul. A home fit for Christmas was the brief but it also needed to be subtle yet tasteful.

To deal with the need for storage in apartments, we reimagined the traditional fireplace mantle as an entire wall. This wall not only has multiple storage capacity, it also is the very heart and soul of the home. 

​

The entire kitchen was reworked from its original layout to incorporate a full height array complete with the state of the art cooking appliances. Tucked behind the carpentry is a hidden door into the wet kitchen. The new configuration not only increases the efficiency of the kitchen but widens the space and gives one the field of view to admire the gorgeous open kitchen.

This project endeavours to exude timeless elegance through its detailing and effortless strokes. Everything, from the complex curved details of the kitchen carpentry to the sleek lines of the fireplace was thought through in great detail and applied in moderation to achieve a peaceful balance.
