This modern contemporary themed house breaks the mould of a typical terrace through the insertion of a floating staircase with a skylight right above it. The staircase as an architectural element now becomes a piece of art, to be admired in the space.

The use of grey marbled tiles, against walnut wood and a tinge of Nero Marquina is the perfect combination to exude the owners’ taste and preference.

Our favourite space has got to be the dining area. The dining area is in the middle of all the action – it enjoys the view of the wet kitchen, the living and the light pouring down from above through the slits of the floating staircase. 

While the first storey is more masculine in style – the bedrooms are much softer. The use of rattan and cushioned bed heads were deliberate. The double doors at the master clad with close weave rattan adds a new layer of sophistication to the space and matches the open rattan chair by Le Corbusier Pierre Jeanneret.
